The story of the film “Thegidi” is crime thriller story. Ashok selvan studied criminology. He joined in a private detective agency. His usual work is to get details about their customers without the knowledge of them. While he was collecting the details about one of the customer Janani Iyer, he came to know that all the customers are died after he submitted his report. So he suspected his private agency. He then understood that janani is in a big problem. He decided to survive janani.

One day ashok went to ride his boss home, where he got some paper cuttings. He asked his friend about the paper cuttings, he explained that this should be one of the insurance policies. Then ashok came to know the entire process of his private agency. Actually they were doing money fraud ling by creating insurance policies without the knowledge of the policy person. After created they killed the person and get all money. The remaining story is about how ashok catch this fraudulent gang.
